Before we set off for the day we stopped in to say good morning to Mike and Jan, who were staying at Krka Autocamp about 5kms from town. After saying hello, we took of for the coast. We drove to Vodice then towards Zadar and then a bit further to Nin. We didn't find anywhere we wanted to stay for the night.

We have seen these spits all along the road...

So we took the autoroute over the mountain to Plitvicka Jezera NP.
We welcomed the change of scenery, farming land, chalet style houses and we even saw our first flock of sheep! It was also 10° cooler.

We programmed camy to take us to a camping spot found on CamperContact that is 2.5km from the NP Entrance 2. The owner will transport us there and back for €5 (1/2 the price it would cost to park there for the day). So tomorrow we are looking forward to visiting the park.

We chatted a while with another Australian couple from Cairns who have been travelling in their motorhome and canal boat for the last 3 years....yes another one!
