Mlini beach

Stay: Camping Kate, Mlini

After a chat with Mike and Jan, we walked down to the beach and saw them off on the water taxi to Dubrovnik. 

We continued on, walking along the foreshore path into the next bay which had several places to go for a swim, a lovely park under the pine trees and several restaurants. 

We continued walking around the next point and were surprised to find the remnants of the war in the 90's. The beautiful bay was now flanked by bombed and destoyed hotels. Quite a contrast from the other bay.

 We found a spot on the rocky beach and had a refreshing swim. Very relaxing!

We then walked a little further over the next point only to be stopped by a military post. So we doubled back and stopped for a hamburger lunch before continuing back to Mlini beach. 

Back at camp, once Mike and Jan had returned, we had a 3 game petanque championship. Last year, our friends from Perth won...glad to say we have now made it a draw! Next year we will have to meet again and see who will be the reigning champions!.
