Gregory National Park NT

After being surrounded by back packers late in the evening (although they were quiet we just felt very crowded in), we were happy to make our way back into Victoria Hwy nice and early.

About 65km later we turned off to go to Joe Creek where we did a lovely 1.7km/1hr loop walk.

The trail lead up a steep rocky slope to the base of the escarpment wall. We followed this along enjoying the fabulous views.

We also spotted some Aboriginal paintings.

On our way out be crossed paths with Gavin and Robyn in their Cooee truck.

We stopped 2 km west of Victoria River Roadhouse to walk up the Escarpment trail. It took us just over 1hr to scramble up the 3km rocky track to the top lookout and back. We had views over the roadhouse and Victoria River valley.

After a cuppa and a chat with Gav and Rob we were back in the road for another 158km towards Katherine. We picked a huge gravel pit (Shoot Thru) 40km on the west side. Ready for some new adventures tomorrow!
