Family time in Montluel France

Travelled: 115km
Stay: Montluel with family

It seemed we managed to find the most indirect route to Beynost, it had been our choice to avoid the motorway as we wanted to see a bit more pretty country side. The villages around the Beaujolais are made mainly from Pierre Dore (golden stone) which does give them a golden glow.

We eventually made it to Norauto in Beynost where we had ordered 2 new tyres for Bluey. While we waited we did our washing in the laundromat that is in the car park and did some shopping.

We then drove about 10km to my cousins home in Montluel where once again they have welcomed us. We wined and dined the weekend away with some traditional games of Belotte and Palet being played. The competition was fierce but the Aussies managed to win a couple sets.

On Saturday morning we walked around the old Montluel village.
