Waterloo to Aalst Belgium

Travelled:73km
Visited: HQ of Napoleon & Wellington in Waterloo, Aalst
Stay:Aalst- aire, free parking, services-€5.50 for water and electricity GPS N50.938179 E4.058340

We had a peaceful night with one other camper and woke up to a drizzly morning. We welcomed the cool change and at 9:15am drove 4km to Napoleon's HQ. We saw where he spent his last night before the battle.

From here we drove to the township of Waterloo to visit Wellington's HQ. This gave us a different insight of the battle.

The church across the road had British memorial plaques inside.

We then made our way to an aire in Aalst and parked up. After some lunch we rode our bikes 2km into town which had a lovely church and market place. After getting some information from the tourist office we enjoyed a beer and strolled around town.

Back at Bluey we feasted on a BBQ dinner.
