Monet's Garden and La Roche-Guyon France

Travelled:154km
Visited: Monet's Garden Giverny and La Roche-Guyon
Stay: Beauvais- aire with free parking and service point. N49.424271 E2.080190

After our obligatory morning coffee we went to the service point to get some water only to find that the market had set up stalls all around it! Luckily we weren't desperate for water or dumping.

So we parked up again and went to explore the market which was surprising huge although many stalls had not set up yet.

We then set off for Giverny to visit Monet's Garden. We found a spot amongst the other motorhomes in the free parking area and had a quick breakfast before lining up in a short queue (thank goodness) to buy our tickets. We spent a couple of hours strolling through the property containing Claude Monet's beautiful flower garden, his amazing Japanese water garden and his house. He lived here for half his life from 1883 until his death in 1926.

After taking many photos we purchased a couple of prints for home and made our way to La Roche-Guyon on the Seine River which is classified as one of the beautiful villages of France.

We took plenty of photos of the castle and the town before heading back north to Beauvais. We have been here each year as our last pit stop before going home from Paris as it has all that we need.
