Into Normandy

Travelled: 116km
Visited:Gerberoy
Stay:Mesnieres en Bray-aire, free parking and services. N49°45.987' E1°22.864'

We spent the first part of the morning following up a few inquiries with Ford and then drove out of Beauvais to visit Gerberoy which is classified as one of the 152  'most beautiful villages of France'. It was a small but quaint village with some lovely buildings and of course a church.

After our stroll along the cobblestoned streets we continued on our way North into Normandy driving through rich, fertile country. We passed through Forges-les-Eaux (a spa and casino town) and then Neuchatel-en-Bray (an area well known for its cheese). Just a few kilometres out we stop in the aire in Mesnieres-en-Bray, which is a pretty, well kept little town with  a Renaissance chateau that is still having restorations done to it.
