We said our farewells to Anita and Gary
before heading into Colmar to find the Ford dealership to get a new indicator light for Bluey. They didn't have any in stock so we ordered one in to be delivered by 2pm. This gave us plenty of time to go and get some cheaper fuel (10c less than Germany), a swap and go gas bottle, some food shopping to get our favorite things ( breakfast cereal -flakes with dried berries), smoked salmon, duck breast (magre de canard), pork chops and of course a f.a (fat arse) cream cake - a vanilla slice. Feeling satisfied we decided we had enough time to try and find a 'lavorie automatique' to do our laundry. After researching the internet we found 2 possibilities. We programmed Camy who consiquently took us through the old town of Colmar. As Mark negotiated the narrow, one way cobbled streets, we managed to recognise a few land marks we had riden to last year on our bikes! After trying to unsuccessfully find a parking spot near the first Laundromat, we found a spot outside the other one 500m further on. As we waited for our clothes to wash and dry, we used up a bit of our 5gb per month allowance on our French mobile plan (ending today). We then went back to pick up Blueys light fitting and then headed back into Germany. We enjoyed the pretty drive through the valley of vinyards, apple orchards, corn crops and pumpkin fields before climbing up into the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) to stop just out of Triberg in a motorhome parking area. We were surprised that when we arrived at 6pm we were the only ones here. Later more turned up. We had dinner and relaxed.
