It was another chilly night, waking up to 5° inside Buster, thank goodness for the diesel heater. We had our coffee and set off from Burra Gorge at 8:15 am for another days drive (388km) towards Western Australia.
Our first stop was in Jamestown, the birth place of R.M.Williams, the famous outback clothing maker.
In town we did some shopping and refuelled ($1.669).
View of Iron Knob, the birth place of Australia’s Steel Industry, discovered by explorer John Eyre in 1839.
Although the drive from here along the Eyre Highway to Kimba is relatively easy it seemed so much longer. We arrived at 3pm and were surprised at how many campers were already set up at the free/donation camp. We found our spot and took at easy for the rest of the day.
