Travelled: 62km via Col de Madeleine to Meribel parking (45.3674,6.5844) took gondola  (€13.50pp) to La Saulire summit. 

After our morning coffee we left Longscahmp.

It was only a short drive up to the Col de Madeleine 2000m alt. (2014 twice). The weather and views were glorious.

We then continued down into the next valley enjoying the magnificent views in the way.

It was considerably hotter in the valley (Moutiers) so we didn’t linger. After a bit of shopping we headed up again in altitude to cooler temperatures in Meribel ski resort (1680m). 

We managed to find a spot in a large carpark. 

Then we took the gondola (13.50pp return) up to the Soulire Summit 2710m.  The trip took about 10mins.

We were rewarded with some amazing views of the surrounding alpine peaks including MontBlanc. We had a walk around before taking the trip back to Bluey.
