We followed the road down to Sault in the heart of lavender country and we were not disappointed. We felt lucky to see so many fields still in flower as a grower informed us that by the end of next week all flowers will have been harvested. The lavender is transformed into essential oils and used in perfume, aromatherapy and pharmacy.
