St.Abb’s & Dunbar Scotland

Day 24/Scotland 1
Travelled:57km
Stay: Dunbar- free parking near port N56.0051 W2.5167
Visited: St.Abb’s parking £3/day, Dunbar

After our farewells with Anita and Gary we made our way to St.Abb’s, parking in the National Trust carpark. Our main objective was to walk along the dramatic cliffs to the lighthouse. Along this 5km return coastal walk there can be about 50,000 sea birds nesting. It was amazing to see and hear as well.

After some lunch we ventured into the small harbour town.

The twin city is in Avengers the endgame film.

We then made our way to Dunbar. Our GPS did take us on a very scenic route that we even had to travel on one lane roads and cross a ford in the river! Bluey and Mark handled it all in their stride.

Gary and Anita had kindly suggested a possible free park in Dunbar and managed to find a spot overlooking the harbour. Dunbar has a very interesting history and a ruined castle.
