Stay : Autun -aire free parking near lake, free services N46°57.048' E4°18.691' / 46.95371, 4.31179

Spent half the day driving East.
We stopped to see a canal bridge just west of Nevers.

After lunch we had a quick walk through the town of Chateau Chinon, which is best known for having had François Mitterand as its mayor from 1959 to 1981.

We then continued on to Autun where we stopped for the night. We spent the afternoon walking in the city centre and visited the St Lazare Cathedral, built in the 12th century.

Tomorrow we will visit the roman ruins from the 1st century BC at the behest of Emperor Augustus.
