On our way out of Darwin we filled up with fuel and headed south along the Stuart Highway.

We had a quick stop in Pine Creek and went a little further (30 odd km /265km from Darwin) to Edith River free camp (where we had stayed 3weeks ago).
I kept my leg up for most of the day and the weather was very pleasant with a cool night for a good sleep.
We headed off early the next morning to get into Katherine. Topped up with fuel once again and then went to park in a large area near the dump point….Buster was well overdue for a tyre rotation, so we thought this was as good a place as any.
With that done we filled up Busters food supplies in ready for our next leg of the journey…
We spend the night at Stirling Mill WWII rest area along the Stuart Highway, just 15km north of Mataranka, completing 136km for the day.
