As we had a day up our sleeve before we had to get to our booked site in Karijini NP, we decided to stay another night at Mount Robinson Rest Area. The walk to the summit 1158m alt. (8 highest peak in WA) was highly recommended. So after breakfast we set off for the 5km/2hrs return hike. It was a constant climb up (592m), but we eventually made it to see the other side of the mountain. We had views over a huge mine and a nearby Coondewanna airport.
Along the walk there were a few flowers blooming - their photos will be added at the end of the post.
The rest of the day was filled with planning our stay at Karijini NP and beyond.
The threatening rain finally came to fall on Buster, so we retreated inside for the remainder of the afternoon, managing a short walk after dinner before more rain.
