An Australian couple travelling in Europe (2013+) in a motorhome (Bluey), exploring Australia in a caravan (2009-22) and a self built Isuzu expedition 4 x 4 motorhome (Buster) 2023+
After 254km we arrived at Barn Hill Station Beach stay.
Powered site cost us $55. There were no unpowered sites available and we had to move sites to be able to stay 2 nights (site 9, 77). If we had known we could have also taken our chances at getting a spot in the overflow area.
This park has more of a bush camp feel and the mud brick toilet/shower blocks some have no roof! Very rustic.
Unfortunately due to the recent rains, the mosquitoes were in full force. There was a lawn bowls competition when we turned up. Also a cafe/restaurant and events including live music on some nights.
The beach here is very picturesque with the red cliffs, white sand and rock pools. Due to the clear water it was also safe to swim here. We enjoyed our walks, chatting with fellow travellers and watching the sunsets during our 2 days stay. Then we hit the road once again making our way to Broome.
