Today was our first day off with Bluey. We said our goodbye's (we are meeting up again next weekend for a weeks holiday in the South of France) and headed south. Mark did some research and found some Aires near St-Etienne. We did not want to travel too far as we want to spend a few days organizing ourselves. After some last minute shopping we drove along the auto route to St-Etienne and then found ourselves driving up through the Pilat National Park via Planfoy and Le Grand Blois. Here we could still see some patches of snow along the side of the road. At the top we stopped for lunch. On the way down to Boulieu-les-Annonay, a medieval village, we were greeted with the views of the Alps and beautiful country side.

The free Aire at the village is more than I expected.  It is very close to the village, adjacent to playground with a toilet, has 6 designated spots and is very well looked after. Along with the beautiful day is has been a great start.

After celebrating with a beer! We spent the afternoon organising our things, then went to explore the village and checked out where the Patisserie was at! There was not much open being a Sunday afternoon and it seems that not much will be open on Monday. The Patisserie was, so we were able to buy some fresh bread for breakfast. The rest of the day we tidied up some more had a bit more of explore of the village. It has beautiful old streets and we walked up he mountain to the statue of Mary.

Testing out the Cadac BBQ tonight.
