Revel Tourdon France

Day 5- Saturday 9th May, 2026

We said our goodbyes after breakfast and Mark got behind the wheel and drove Bluey to our first destination… the dump point close by in Ballan!

Then we were ready to set off in a southerly direction.

Over the Saône river

A fine example of a well decorated roundabout

Spotted this interesting mural along the way

72km later we arrived in the small medieval village, Revel Tourdon.

We park up behind the remains of the old castle and later go to explore. There were many information boards in the old buildings in the village.

We popped into the small church which is on the route of one of the Camino de Santiago walks.

We took the track out of the village and enjoyed the beautiful views over the wheat fields… some stretching out to the alpes.

It was a peaceful night all by ourselves with the sound of pitter patter rain drops on Blueys’ roof.
