This morning we managed a sleep in which was fortunate as by the time we were ready to leave the fog had lifted and so we decided it was worth walking up Tcharkulda Rock. Like so many other rocks this one was also used to capture rain water into a dam. Notice the wall along the base…
From the top we got some lovely views especially with the rock formations up there.
An hour and a half later we roll into Kimba and have some breakfast.
We drove up to see the sculptures of Eyre and Wylie.A great water capture project.

We have a look through town and take the obligatory photos of the Big Galah and the ‘Half way across Australia’ sign. We looked at the silo art and a mural…We went for a walk…
We also popped in to have a look at the museum ($5ea) where Red explains a few things whilst showing us around. He is very passionate about the history of the area and keeping the town as a great stop for visitors.
