Stay: Taylors Lake camp ground - free with toilets, has boat ramp and jetty.
We didn’t get very far up the highway before we turned off
again and decided to camp on the shores of Lake Taylor.
View of the southern end of the Grampians.
The blossom in the trees attracted the beesAfter a short walk along the lake we played petanque. Let the challenge begin!
The next morning we set off to Horsham to fill up the fridge then to Murtoa we went. The main
attraction that brought us here is The Stick Shed. There is a lot of interesting information about this place,
but essentially it is a huge grain store built in 1941 which is impressive to
see. Made from 560 unmilled poles and is 19m tall, 60m wide and 270m long.
Check out www.thestickshed.com.au for heaps more info. Open everyday between 10am-2pm $10 pp.
