Glenalbyn and Skinners Flat VIC

It’s been a busy time since we got home from our last trip. Apart from spending time with family and friends we did some much needed works to Buster. The most important was figuring out what was wrong with the DC2DC charger. It was disconnected, sent to Enerdrive in QLD and we received a new replacement one within 5 days. With advice from their support department, Mark was able to connect it back as per their new wiring requirements. And yes it works. Yoohoo!
We also greased all the points required and we rotated the tyres as we have done 10,000km.
Mark put an air vent in the grey water tank as we were getting condensation in the locker above it… let’s hope that works.
Our final purchase before we headed off on our next adventure was to get Starlink. We bought a cable pass through- RJ45 data socket and a crimping tool from Spacetek. Mark successfully cut the cable and all works a dream. Phew! We plan to call in to see them in Mildura and get some spare parts.
So due to family illness we canceled our trip to Europe and instead get Buster out for a trip closer to home.
Our first day see us travelling along the Calder Highway.

In Bridgwater we enjoy a cuppa on the banks of the Loddon River.
We stroll along the street in Inglewood reading about the many buildings built during the gold rush era in the late 1800’s.
Not far from here we venture off the highway to the Glenalbyn Forest camp. A lovely peaceful spot. We go and get some firewood and enjoy our evening. Perfect for our first night.

The next morning we go to the otherside of the highway to Mt.Korong. The small parking area would be great for an overnight stop at the foot of the mountain.
Of course we had to walk up, not all the way, to see the beautiful views.

In Wedderburn (visited before) we briefly stop and read about Jacka VC and admire the art on the buildings.

Only 6km up the road we find a great spot at Skinners Flat Resevoir. We get out and use our new flat pack fire pit for the first time. We bought it from The Pit Kit Fire Place in Cheltenham and are very happy with it so far.
