Australia Wilsons Promontory Victoria

Now that we were dog free we decided to spend a few days exploring Wilsons Promontory National Park. 

The first night we spent at Bear Gully Campground in Tarwin Lower.

We stopped to have a look at Cape Liptrap lighthouse. 

The next morning we drove to Walkerville South and looked at the Lime Kilns and enjoyed a walk along the beach. 

After lunch at Walkerville South we drove through Waratah Bay, Sandy Point and Shallow Inlet. 

Then we made our way into the Prom and found a lovely unpowered site (#173) for $24pn.

After setting up camp we went for a walk along Norman Beach and had a swim in Tidal River.

The following day we enjoyed a lovely walk to Pillar Point.

Then off to Squeaky Beach.

Later that afternoon we walked the loop track at Lillypilly Gully where there had been a landslide during the heavy rains.

The next day was a little cooler. We decided to drive to Darby river and walked to Tongue Point. 

After lunch we strolled along the beach and went looking for wombats after dinner.

On our last day at the Prom we walked to Sparkes Lookout. 

We then walked to the end of Norman Beach and got back just as the storm came in.

The rain had settled in the morning so we drove out of the Prom and stopped in Foster and had a look in the Museum. We then went through Port Franklin and Port Welshpool. 

 In Port Albert we had a look at their Maritime Museum. That night we camped at the Old Butter Factory in Yarram. As we headed towards home we drove through the beautiful Tarra Valley and did a couple of walks. 

We continued on to Loch and decided to stay the night at the Memorial Park Cricket Ground.
